I bought this book for my sister but actually read it before I sent it to her and I cried through the whole thing. Having lived through Ron Santo's career where I spent many a day at the friendly confines, some of it was like reliving my childhood.I loved this man. He was kind and generous and deserved to be treated better than he was. For him to NOT be given passage to the Baseball Hall of Fame before his death was cruel. Shame on the powers that be for never giving him a chance to know that his contributions to the game were valued by the masses.A lot of the book, at least in the beginning, seemed to be a repeat of various and sundry obituaries that appeared but I still read every word of every one of them with tears in my eyes and I'd read them again and again.This is a must read for any Ron Santo fan and definitely for anyone who lived through the sixties with the Cubs. It's like a walk through the park with all your old friends.

I enjoyed reading this book. I like ron santo. he has now has a special meaning to me. both the year he died and being voted in the hall of famed is days before my birthday.

The only thing missing from the title of this book is: Hall of Famer. You will enjoy the wonderful pictures this book has to offer about the life of Ron Santo, one of the true Cubs and Cub Fans.

A must have book for any fan of Ron Santo!

A collection of stories from the passing of Ron Santo. To me, Ron is still an inspiration to millions of Cub fans and Type 1 diabetics (I am both). This is nice to have as a keepsake, instead of having bookmarks and newspapers around the house. Some of the articles are touching, and make you cry; but others make you smile and laugh. We miss you, Ronnie! HOF 2012!!

I ordered this book for my uncle who is a long time Cubs fan. The book arrived quickly and was given to him in time for Christmas. I would definitely order again.

I haven't read this and will be giving it as a Christmas gift. It is in excellent condition. This should be a great story.

This book has dozens of pictures that are just out of this world. The service was great. It was very moving.
